Keti Koti Campaign for Patta
It was truly a honor to have worked on a campaign that goes beyond simply marking a moment in history. Rooted in the place where so much of that history began, the project reflects on freedom, identity and the relationship between where we come from and who we are becoming.
Together with Fidelio Faustino, who took on both photography and direction, we assisted on the production side across the project. From the creative approach to bringing the shoot together on the ground, the focus was on creating something that felt honest to its surroundings and to the people at its centre.
Rather than looking back at Keti Koti solely as a commemoration, the project asks what freedom looks like today. Shot in Suriname and shaped through the perspective of a new generation, the campaign becomes a celebration of heritage, self-expression and the continued importance of telling our own stories, from home.
